Principal's Message 4.11.25
Rocket families,
We've made it to Spring Break 2025! We wish all the Rockets a relaxing and safe break. We look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday, April 21st.
We have so many fun things coming up in the few short weeks after break! Keep an eye on your child's teacher communications for information about field trips and other fun things happening in May. Our PTO is busy planning an exciting Field Day, and our 6th graders are looking forward to a very special celebration on their last day of school. Our PTO is already busy planning for the 25-26 school year, with many volunteer spots already filled. We are still looking for a few very critical roles, including PTO President and Vice President. Mrs. Dunkerly has done a fantastic job, but will be moving on to Junior High. If you would like to learn more about these roles, please send me an email and we will be happy to talk to you. With so many of the other volunteer spots filling up, we are looking forward to a great year with many hands making the work lighter!
I wanted to take a moment to update you on our state testing progress. As you know, we have two more weeks of state testing remaining. Our 3rd & 6th graders will take their Math test the week of April 21st. Then, on April 28-29, our 5th graders will wrap up state testing with their Science test. All students will be MAP testing on May 8 & 9th. I want to commend our students for their hard work and dedication during this time. They have shown great perseverance and determination to do their best, and we are very proud of them!
Finally, I want to thank our Rockets families for their support and encouragement ALL year long. Your partnership with us is invaluable, and we appreciate all that you do to help our students succeed both in and out of the classroom. Let's finish the year strong and continue to soar like Rockets!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns or good news to pass on please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We love to hear from you. Have a wonderful break!
