Principal's Message 1.31.25

Principal's Message 1.31.25

Rocket families,

What crazy weather we are having lately! A couple of weeks ago we had single digit wind chill, and now it's warm! It is always a good idea to have your child dress in layers for the unpredictable temperatures we have in Ohio. Remember, we do go outside for recess any time the "feels like" temperature is above 20 degrees.

Our students are busy preparing for our annual Culture Day celebration on February 13th. They are preparing for a parade, collecting items for a food drive, and practicing new dances and songs. We invite families to join us for an assembly at 9am on February 13th, where we will showcase the talents and traditions of our community.

It's a big week for 6th grade families as they start to think ahead to Junior High! Students will be selecting electives classes next week. There is an important informational meeting for parents on Monday, February 3 at 6:30pm in the Plains gym. Please see this letter from Plains Junior for more details.

Be sure to keep an eye on the PTO newsletter, as they continue to share information and opportunities throughout the semester on ways to get involved and support our school community. We are especially looking for volunteers to help with this year's Rocket Blast. You don't have to give a lot of time to make a huge impact! Please reach out to us if you are interested.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns or good news to pass on please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We love to hear from you.
